When getting your house ready to sell, your back yard should be clean, well groomed, and organized.
If you have a pool or spa, keep it freshly maintained and constantly cleaned. I nice clean pool is very inviting to buyers, they normally start seeing themselves having parties and enjoying the pool.
If you have dogs, be sure to constantly keep the area clear of “debris”. If your dog likes to dig, we need to fill the holes; holes give the wrong impression, and we definitely do not want the prospective homebuyer to trip on a hole.
If you have swing sets or anything elaborate for your kids, make sure they are not rusting or falling apart, if so remove them. They take up room, and you want your back yard to appear as spacious as possible, especially in newer homes where the yards are not as large. Take a look at your back yard from different angles.
Remember to try to see it as a stranger for the first time. When our Real Estate agent visit your house, ask them what they think about the back yard.
