Uncluttering the House is another of the steps taken to getting your house ready to sell.
I think you know exactly what I am talking about…. all the stuff you have laying around.
Uncluttering the House is one of the hardest things for most people to do, simply because they are emotionally attached to everything in their house. After years of living in the same home, clutter collects in such a way that may not be evident to you, the homeowner. However, this greatly affects the way buyers see the home, even if you do not realize it.
Clutter collects on shelves, counter tops, drawers, closets, garages, attics, and basements. You want as much open clear space as possible, so every extra little thing needs to be cleared away.
It’s hard for a homebuyer to mentally place themselves in the house when there is too much clutter. When all the clutter is removed, the homebuyers has a ‘empty canvas’ to work with. This facilitates the emotional aspect of the buyer to picture themselves in the house, while allowing them to think about how they would organize things.

Take a step back and pretend you are a buyer. Let a friend help point out areas of clutter, as long as you can accept their views without getting defensive. Let us help as well. Our Agents will give you their honest and straight forth opinion.
